· A signed Volunteer Application is required.
· Make sure you are current with your tetanus shot
· Bring and wear weather appropriate work clothes:
- tee shirt, shorts and sneakers or work shoes for summer
- jeans and sweat shirts and work shoes for winter
- no sports bras, flip flops, or other inappropriate work clothing
- even in summer, bring a pair of long work pants (poison ivy protection)
- sports wear for possible recreation activities
- casual wear for the evenings
- rain coat
- hat for sun and rain protection
· Other stuff to bring
- sleeping bag, pillow, and air mattress
- three towels and wash cloths
- Hand wipes
- Insect repellent and sun screen
- Guitar or other musical instrument if you play
- A little spending money including some for homeowner gift
- Safety glasses and gloves (Used ones will be provided)
- Tools you may want to use (Labeled with your name)
· Bring time to sit and chat with the residents of the home.
· DO NOT BRING portable music players or cell phones to the work sites.
· Don't bring food. Meals, snacks, water and beverages will be provided.
