Labor of Love Campaign

PLEASE GIVE NOW!
LABOR OF LOVE FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
July 5 - September 5, 2011
School's out, but there's still homework to do—Home Works that is.
School's out, summer vacation is on, but there's still plenty of work to do at home. This summer, please join us at
one of our work sites or consider giving to Labor of Love. The Labor of Love campaign is one of two Home Works fundraisers a year.
Why Labor of Love? This summer, hundreds of Southeast youth are choosing to spend a portion of their summer vacation repairing almost 80 homes of the elderly and disabled. Working in the heat of the day, they learn to put their faith into action as they make badly needed repairs to the homes of the elderly and disabled. Many of the youth this summer will be volunteering with Home Works not for the first time, but the 4th or 5th; for these youth, working with Home Works has truly become a Labor of Love.
Additionally, great corporate citizens like Ellis, Lawhorne & Sims, and BB & T will join in the work this summer, providing meals for volunteers or volunteering for some of the sessions.
To make so many repairs, and to continue the mission of Home Works, your help is vital. How can you help? Either volunteer, or consider donating to the Labor of Love campaign by clicking our online donation link, mailing your donation to the Home Works office, or participating with many area churches taking up a special Home Works Labor of Love offering over Labor Day weekend Sunday, August 28. And new this year, stop by any area Lizard's Thicket, Bank of America, or other participating business two weeks before Labor Day and leave a donation in the black Labor of Love buckets.
If you would like to get your church and/or business to participate in the Labor of Love Campaign, please contact Hank Chardos at
h.chardos@homeworksusa.net or (803) 206-6974.
Thank you for your commitment to Home Works and our mission of bringing youth and adult volunteers together to make much needed repairs to homes of our elderly and disabled neighbors.
